Caputo's Fine Chocolate Fest on Thursday, Oct. 25

Starting from father Tony's meatball sandwich base, son Matt Caputo has transformed the beloved but garden variety deli into one of the country's premier fine food stores.

Beyond the cheese cave, the Creminelli, the imported pastas and heirloom beans, Caputo's chocolate selection reigns supreme, one of the best collections in the country. The store stocks a gorgeous selection of artisan filled chocolates and more than 300 different chocolate bars, including those most respected in the who's who of chocolatiers, like Amadei.

An official chocolate event celebrating, educating about and feasting on the food of the gods is in order. Get your tickets now for the event this Thursday.

Gabriele Bianchi from Amedei (Pisa, Italy) will be on hand during Caputo's Chocolate Fest to lead a tasting of award-winning chocolate with Matt.

Sample Amedei’s chocolate but also a selection of cocoa-centric-sweet and savory- creations from an all-star line up of local chefs like Amber Billingsley (Vinto), Letty Flatt (Deer Valley Resort), Matt Harris (Heirloom Group), Ruth Kendrick (Chocolot), Lya Luna (Caputo's market), Romina R (Les Madeleines), Viet Pham (Forage) and many more.
Beverage tastings from Epic Brewing Company, Libation wine brokerage, and Slide Ridge Honey will show guests the best drinks to pair with the world’s best chocolate.

Admission price includes each tasting item, the full chocolate bar tasting, and beverage

All proceeds from the event will go charities that promote social and environmental sustainability in the world’s cacao growing regions. Like I said:
