We couldn't think of any bigger new to report for the kid-friendly post than the announcement of ground breaking on Thanksgiving Point's new children's museum. The Musuem of Natural Curiosity will break ground on Monday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m, marking the start of construction on the 45,000-square-foot building that will open in spring 2014.

The museum will feature more than 150 exhibits in the areas of science, technology, math, engineering, history, arts and culture for families with kids.

At the ground breaking, Thanksgiving Point will announce the winners of the inaugural "Cultivator of Curiosity" and "Curious Kids" awards. Gov. Gary Herbert will be there at the ground breaking.

Thanksgiving Point is located at 3600 N. Garden Drive, Lehi.
