Put on your dancing shoes and get ready for Odyssey Dance Theatre’s 15th annual Dance Utah! Over the course of July 18–21, students eight and older will cover everything from jazz to rhythmic stomp. The comprehensive four-day workshop culminates in a student showcase where participants will show off their newly-honed skills in an exclusive performance.

The workshop is unique for the range of styles that are taught and also for the teacher’s focus on students. “The dancers can expect to have a good time training, but it’s not just about learning,” says instructor and Odyssey Dance Company member Eldon Johnson. “The teachers genuinely care that the students are inspired and are remembering their passion and love of dance.”

Odyssey Dance Company tours nationally and internationally. For seven years in a row, they have been recognized as Best of State in Dance. “It’s a great opportunity for dancers to work with local professionals,” Johnson says.

This year’s faculty includes:

Derryl Yeager, Founder and Artistic Director of Odyssey Dance Theatre

Trey Barber

Eldon Johnson

Vernoica Yeager

Gev Manoukian, a finalist in season 4 of the popular TV show “So You Think You Can Dance”
