Sure, I've got stuff I could bitch about–hey, I'm a critic–but I'm not going to dwell on them because ZY restaurant on State Street is offering an antidote for Hump Day huffiness.

Tonight, ZY launches the BIN 86 Wine Club and Wine Down Wednesdays–basically a series of midweek drink'n'think sessions focusing on wine pairings. Tonight and on June 27, “Funky Wines & Funky Cheese” will feature a selection of funky varietals paired with different cheeses.

On July 18, 19 and 20, as a nod to the 4th of July holiday and Utah’s “Pioneer Day,” the “Red, White & Blue” event will pair different red and white wines with a variety of blue cheeses.

Both events will begin at 6pm and will be held at the ZY bar. Each tasting will be $15.00 per person and reservations are recommended.

Also, every Wednesday, you can enjoy a flight of ZY’s newest wines paired with complementary bites from Chef Matthew Lake. In addition, enjoy no corkage fees on Wednesdays when dining.

The BIN 86 Wine Club is actually a real club, although membership is free. Members will be the first to receive invitations to exclusive wine tastings, wine dinners, evenings with a vintner and the latest news on the ZY wine list.
