Westminster College just sent us info on their camp for teens prepping for science majors or just curious about the natural world.
This summer, teens will spend a week as scientists studying the environment of the Great Salt Lake (ages 15–18).
Camp takes place July 15–21 and will likely fill fast.
After a bunch of hands-on experiences at camp, teens will be able to answer any questions you have about birds, brine shrimp and microbes that live at or in the lake.
On top of all the science stuff, campers will also get the chance to go paddle boarding and visit the Spiral Jetty, Natural History Museum of Utah, Tracy Aviary and Antelope Island—where they will host a public program to show off what they learned.
High school teachers are also needed as paid consultants for the camp.
Camp price is $250, which includes food, lodging and activities. Scholarships available. College credit available to incoming high school juniors.
