Speed: The Art of the Performance Automobile is coming up fast at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibit will feature 19 of the world's fastest, and most beautiful, automobiles, including the 1957 Jaguar XK-SS Roadster and the record-holding 1938 "Mormon Meteor III" Bonneville Racer.

And to celebrate, the museum is holding a black tie gala on Thursday, May 31 at 7 p.m. Special guest Ken Gross will be on hand, and guests will get an exclusive preview of the exhibit, along with fine food and elegant cocktails.

Salt Lake magazine will be getting photos from the gala to use in our online galleries and Utah People section.

Tickets for speed are $150 per person. Click here to get yours. For more info, contact rsvp@umfa.utah.edu or call 801-585-9880.

And remember to dress in your best and smile for the camera.
