No Utah grandparent should be without the Utah 4 Kids Adventure Guidebook, and we have all the details. Plus, Thanksgiving Point's Family Night on the Farm series rolls on with a Day in the Life of a Farmer.
Utah 4 Kids
This weekend, we highly recommend picking up this book for the long Memorial Day weekend:
One perk of working at Salt Lake magazine is being one of the first to see new publications—press copies of new novels, biographies and much more. Some of it, we can't use, but others are hidden gems in a sea of manilla envelopes.
And we just received one of those gems, which every parent and grandparent from Bear Lake to St. George should have—the Utah 4 Kids Adventure Guidebook—written and illustrated by Samantha Simon.
The guidebook is part directory with activities for kids and adults to take part in all over Utah. Simon even interviewed big-name Utahns like former NBA star Mark Eaton, Olympic Gold Medalist Nikki Stone and Paralympic Medalist Chris Waddell. The book also introduces kids to Fardoodles, the book's spokescreatures.
Pick up the book at Park City Dolly's Bookstore, Tracy Aviary, Utah Olympic Park, The King's English Bookshop, Utah State Capital Gift Shop, Hastings in Ogden and Logan, Hill Aerospace Museum Gift Shop, Park City's Silver Creek Animal Clinic, Zions Natural History Association Gift Shop in SLC, Park City Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter, Moab's Back of Beyond Books, Samak Country Store in the Uintas, and the Olympic Oval. Or you, can visit utah4kids.com to order a copy.
Here is just one excerpts from the book:
