You all know how I feel about brunch. But I know I'm the exception and for those who love brunch and that's pretty much everyone but me, there are lots of options for Mother's Day, the brunchiest day of all. And you'd better go on and make reservations now, while you peruse these paintings of motherhood by Mary Cassatt.

Chocolot will be opening a store at Trolley Square  just for Mothers Day, open on May 11th at 5pm through May 13th. Besides the regular selection of delicious chocolates, sea salt caramels, toffee, chocolate bars, you can buy a bouquet of chocolate tulips and and–these are the prize–ladybug chocolates filled with Slide Ridge Honey Ganache. Trio downtown will be offering their new la carte brunch menu, including brunch pizzas and paninis on Mother's Day. Call 801- 533-TRIO
Trio at Cottonwood will present their traditional Mother's Day brunch buffet. Or you can buck the brunch rule and go for dinner to either location. Call 801-944-TRIO

Snowbird is celebrating Mother’s Day with a brunch buffet at The Atrium and The Aerie, and specials at The Cliff Lodge and Spa and, weather permitting, skiing and snowboarding. The Cliff Lodge will offer a Mother’s Day Bed and Brunch package that includes lodging, a foot passenger Tram pass and brunch. Go here for details.

 Slopes by Talisker in Waldorf Astoria Park City will be putting out a Mother's Day spread from  11 am to 3pm. Executive Chef Clement Gelas will fix a family feast, with special gluten-free and vegan dishes. The price for adults is $85 and the price for children is $25. Call 435-647-5566.

Fleming's is offering a three-course Mom's menu for $34.95 per guest (kids: $16.95) from 11-30 to 3 p.m. Plus, the relevant Mom gets a $25 Dining Card for a future visit to Fleming's.

The Grand America’s Mother’s and Daughter’s Afternoon Tea is May 5, 6, and 12 and their locally legendary brunch is on the day of Mom itself, Sunday, May 13. Kids can decorate a pot and plant a special flower for mom at the potting station in the hotel’s courtyard. And a photographer will be on hand to take complimentary family photographs. I can't help but feel that Grub Steak sounds more like Father's than Mother's Day, but for meat-eating mamas, the prix fixe Mother’s Day Brunch buffet, served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is probably just the thing. $25.75 for adults, and $12.75 for children younger than 12.

For those whose Sunday is reserved, the Harvest Restaurant at Thanksgiving Point serves Mother’s Day brunch on Saturday, May 12, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Executive Chef Jason Merryweather’s fixed-price menu will offer entrées from grilled Atlantic salmon with saffron cream and strawberry salsa, to herb-stuffed pork loin with dried cherry demi-glace. Mothers preferring a breakfast option have buffet choices including cinnamon sourdough French toast with orange-maple syrup, and eggs Benedict Florentine with hollandaise.The buffet is $28.95 for adults and $14.95 for children 11 and younger (under three years old free).
