Neighborhood charm. Yep, Eggs and the City has that. The garage-turned-diner in the heart of the 15th & 15th district was stop two on Ch. 4's tour of Salt Lake breakfast joints.

The menu itself is ecletic with dishes ranging from crab eggs benedict to juevoes rancheros and crepes and french toast loaded with pecans and berries. But the space, utliizing the fully-functioning garage doors to create an open indoor/outdoor patio and showcasing black and white prints of Elvis and Audrey Hepburn, really shines as a quirky addition to the walkable neighborhood.

Regulars sit alongside families popping in for bite before school and business folk talking shop over coffee during the week, but it's Saturdays and Sundays that the restaurant really gets hopping.
