OK, as we get ready for the biggest annual week of entertainment in Salt Lake City, let's look at what there is to do during the last three days of collective sanity before Sundance launches full speed on Thursday.
One of the most calming antidotes imaginable is available when pianist Jason Hardink performs at Abravanel Hall. Hardink, who is doing a series of concerts at Abravanel that continues later this spring, feature middle sonatas from the "Greatest Composer." Should be a treat. Tickets are on sale at arttix.org.
Also, on Tuesday the new-look Los Angeles Clippers play the Utah Jazz at 7 p.m. in a battle of teams over .500. Smithstix.com has tickets available.
And Wednesday at Abravanel Hall, comedian Brian Regan, pictured above, plays the first of 10 (!) shows here in SLC. The family-friendly comic has steadily grown his audience here in SLC and catching at least one of his appearances should prove a welcome diversion from the ensuing madness. Tickets are available at arttix.org. Check out a snippet of Regan's act right here:
