The summer farmer's markets are often a good time had by all. They are great places to find unique, hand made crafts and some of the freshest, cheapest fruit around. Some families come religiously to buy or sell local goods. Unfortunately, summer always turns into fall and fall invariably into winter, and many bid farewell to their favorite market until it warms up again in the spring.

Fortunately for those who were sad to see the farmer's market end this year, the Utah Cultural Celebration Center will be hosting the fifth annual Winter Market. The Winter Market will feature some of Utah's "finest handcrafted arts and ethnic products," along with live music, art displays, and dance performances to keep you entertained. Although it is too cold for fresh fruit, other food vendors will be selling their unique, homemade products to entice your taste buds. And don't worry, unlike the outdoor farmer's markets, this market will be held inside, keeping you sheltered from the cold and snow.

Come enjoy the Christmas season and browse the artistic talent of locals near you. The Winter Market will be held inside the Utah Cultural Celebration Center at 1355 West 3100 South in West Valley City. It happens on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and everyone is invited. Admission is free.
