If you aren't taking advantage of it yet, Park City is allowing free parking on Main Street through Dec. 16. Snatch this opportunity up while you still can. Whether you're hitting up Main Street to do some Christmas shopping, dropping by to pick up a delicious treat at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, or going to see a show at the Egyptian Theatre, pick a spot closest to your venue without worrying about paying for it.

Here are two reasons to park for free on Main Street, while you still can:

December 3, 2011

Bring your kids to meet an author! There will be an author signing at Dolly's Bookstore (510 Main St.) this Saturday. Michelle T. Ostrowski will be on site from 2-4 p.m. signing copies of her children's book "Lucy Goes to Paris."

December 15 & 16, 2011

Jesus Christ Superstar, the musical, is playing at the Egyptian Theatre (328 Main St.) starting at 8:00 p.m. The story of what led Judas Iscariot to betray Christ is never fully told in the Bible, so Andrew and a few others decided to tell their own story explaining the sad tale of the betrayal. Ted Neeley stars as Jesus this year at the Egyptian Theatre. Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera that hit it big on Broadway in 1971. Prices range from $40-$60. Get your tickets soon. The show also runs Dec 18, 20-23, and 27-31.

Dealio Tip: The Egyptian Theatre sends special deals on ticket pricing if you sign up for their newsletter. If you are a regular at the theater, it might be one of the best ways to get cheaper prices on your seats. Check out their website to sign up.
