On Dec. 10, the Tower Theatre will be alive with the sound of music.

The theatre will be hosting a sing-along for the classic film "The Sound of Music," starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. Fans can come sing aloud to "My Favorite Things," "The Sound of Music," Do-Re-Me," and more. Attendees will receive a gift bag, see emcee performers, and enjoy tea and cookies during intermission.

Tickets are $15 per person, $10 for SLFS members. Groups of 6 are $57. There will be two showings: 2 and 6:30 p.m. The Tower Theatre is located at 876 E 900 S in Salt Lake City.

The Salt Lake Film Society will also be hosting Christmas events this season:

1) Come to the Wassail & Waffles Holiday Film Series. Enjoy wassail, waffles, meeting Santa and a choice between watching "The Muppet Christmas Carol" or "A Christmas Story." Wassail & Waffles will happen on Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. (movie starts at 11). This event will happen at Broadway Centre Cinemas, 111 E Broadway #150,  Salt Lake City.

2) "It's a Wonderful Life" is showing on Christmas Eve at 3 p.m. and Christmas Day at 7:30 p.m. at the Tower Theatre. Admission is free, but on a first-come-first-serve basis. "It's a Wonderful Life" will also be shown at the Broadway Centre Cinemas, 111 E Broadway # 150, Salt Lake City.
