Art is a powerful tool that helps set the mood of your home. Paintings of a lighthouse next to a calm sea create a feeling of peace in your home office. In contrast, vibrant action shots of children jumping in the air can create joy and energy in rooms reserved for fun times with the family. Whatever mood you wish to create, the perfect art piece will convey.

And to get great local artwork at a discount, there will be an art swap and sale this Saturday, Nov. 12 called “Oops! I ran out of wall space!”

Locals put the price on the pieces they wish to sell so you never know what great deals there are to be had. The sale runs Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Art Access Gallery on 230 South 500 West, #125 in Salt Lake City. Click here for more info.

Those who wish to sell their artwork need to arrive at the Art Access Gallery the day of the event between 9 and 10 a.m. to set prices and display the art. Art sellers are asked to stay with their art while it's on display. If you have any questions, e-mail Sheryl Gillilan at
