The mall opens its new wing on Friday, taking full advantage of the memorable 11-11-11 date, and is gearing up for crowds of excited fashionistas, home goods lovers and shopaholics in general.
“The wait is over,” says Brooke Whitebread, senior marketing manager at Fashion Place. “We are elated to introduce H&M, Crate and Barrel, The North Face, Bastille, Ann Taylor and LOFT. We know our shoppers will be surprised and delighted by our contemporary look and expanded collection of home and fashion stores just in time for the holidays.”
Utah newcomer and fashion hot spot H&M opens its doors at noon Friday, and the first 500 shoppers in line will score an H&M tee shirt and an Access to Fashion Pass, which could ring up to $10 to $500 in shopping money at the store. The neighboring, two-story Crate & Barrel is also making its Utah debut at the event.
To celebrate the grand opening of the new shops and the mall's new 98,000 square foot wing, Fashion Place is hosting a weeklong event beginning Friday through Nov. 18 from 1-3 p.m. The shopping is the obvious draw, but additional draws include prizes — like gifts cards with purchases of $100 or more and a chance to win a $1,111 shopping spree — and performances by local bands and kid-friendly activities like face paining and caricature artists.
Fashion Place has also recently opened Utah’s newest Apple Store, the state's first BRIO Tuscan Grille, and The Art of Shaving, Teavana, Flip Flop Shops, Brighton Collectibles, Yankee Candle and Red Rock Place.
