We're working on scheduling photographers for several events in the next few weeks, but for this write up, we decided to give you some advance notice of what events we'll be covering in November for our Utah People section.

So, while you're out partying at these events, say hi to one of our photographers and you'll likely end up in the magazine or an online gallery.

Fashion Place Mall's VIP Grand Opening

Not long ago, we sent our photographer Francie Aufdemorte to cover Fashion's Night Out at the mall. Now, she's set to cover the exclusive VIP opening of the mall's new wing. Look for the pics right here on saltlakemagazine.com.

Seventeen new stores and restaurants are opening at the mall, including BRIO Tuscan Grille, Crate and Barrel, Red Rock Place, Apple, Flip Flop Shops, Teavana, Art of Shaving, H&M, Loft, Brighton Collectibles, The North Face and Ann Taylor. Click here for more info.

Wasatch Rails 2011

The National Model Railroad Association Rocky Mountain Region is inviting the community to one of the biggest model railroad events around, Wasatch Rails 2011, at the Utah State Fair Park from Nov. 11 to 13.

Check out the innovative models at the event—maybe one of the most unique events we’ll cover this year. We’re sending our newest photographer Abbie Crane.

$5 for adults, and children 12 and under get in free.

Jewish Arts Festival

The Jewish Arts Festival gets better every year we cover it. Stop by the IJ and Jeanne Wagner Jewish Community Center and watch the Israeli dancers and musicians while enjoying freshly fried latkes. Stroll by the vendors’ booths for fantastic art and jewelry—plus Judaica, books by Jewish authors and info on local Jewish organizations.

Our photographer Elliott Fraughton will cover the fest, so be on the lookout.

It starts with comedian Modi taking the stage on Saturday, Nov. 12 ($36 in advance, $46 at the door). The festival opens to the public on Nov. 13 (free).
