Into art? Do you follow fashion? Do you like that warm fuzzy feeling that you get when you support a good cause? Then come to the Art Meets Fashion (AMF) event on Oct. 15.

(a)perture marketing presents a showcase of fashion and art, as local fashion designers show off their designs as artists display their work.

This year's fine art exhibition, called "Deconstructing Venus," is curated by Anne Cummings-Anderson and Heidi M. Gress and features work by local artists, including John Bell, Tyler Bloomquist, Trent Alvey, Shalee Cooper, Jason Wheatley, Dennis Mecham, Adrian Prazen, Anne Cummings-Anderson, Robin Ballard and Dennis Reynolds, Meredith Prevot, Trent Call, Gia Whitlock, Camilla Taylor, Sri Whipple, Kathryn Stedham, Hilary Wilkinson, Adrian Wagonner, Heidi M. Gress, Ashley Bennett Stoddard, Zuzanna Audette, Kat Cottam Martin, Jordan Halversen and Lindsay Frei.

AMF will also present runway collections by local fashion designers: Shelly Huynh, Andrea Black, DesNeiges Gregory, Danny Nappi, Andrea Hansen, Mary Rino, Roberto Leone and a selection of student designs from Salt Lake Fashion Institute.

Salt Lake magazine is sponsoring The Art of Food & Wine tasting stations from local restaurants and wine pairings courtesy of Odom Spirits West. Plenty of entertainment options will also be on hand.

The venue is located at 700 S. and 404 West in Salt Lake City and begins at 6 p.m. and lasts until 10 p.m.

Remember that part about the warm fuzzy feeling? Well, AMF will donate proceeds from ticket sales to the YWCA of Salt Lake. Tickets are $50 or $25 for students.
