Fall festival season kicks into high gear this month. May as well get into God's good graces at the Annual Carmelite Fair while you eat that burrito or nibble on cotton candy.

The Sept. 18 event, the Carmelite nuns' yearly charity fundraiser, kicks off with the Race for Grace, a 5K Run for the Nuns. Running not your thing? The festivities also include a day of family-friendly fun, games, ride and performances by the likes of the Basque Dancers of Utah and the Higher Ground Jazz Band. Come for a lunch ranging from Mexican and Asian to traditional American and Italian, peruse handicrafts made by the nuns or join in on the silent auction, where you could walk away with a gift certificate to a local restaurant or a 2011 Nissan Versa.

The fair runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit the website for more information. Click here to register for the 5K and visit he race Facebook page for more details.
