My colleague Jaime Winston already covered this past weekend's event admirably in his videos, posted in a timely fashion on Monday. But even though this is tardy (just like UAF's annual Tardy Mardi fundraiser -- look for it next year) I wanted to make sure everyone appreciated the knitting geniuses in our city's midst. Needles had been clicking madly all over Library Square and City County building grounds. Besides the ultra amazing knitted Mini Cooper pictured above and here,

there was a knitted bicycle,

knitted garlands festooning a railing

and a tree cozied up in a sweater with sleeves for several branches.

Cool. Funny. Spectacular.
