Walking tours are the way to do it. You get to go at a slower pace and still get all the information you want, you can stop by some interesting restaurants or stores that you see and didn't know were there before, and you get the great exercise walking gives you. What's not to love?

Visit SALT LAKE and the Utah Tour Guide Association offer downtown walking tours Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from June through August. There's a lot of history in our little capitol city, and the certified members of the Utah Tour Guide Association can tell it to you in the most fun, interesting way they know.

Visit SALT LAKE members get to join in on the kick-off fun. Wednesday, June 1, they're having a barbeque, music and an intro to the walking tours from 4 to 7 p.m.
