The cover of Rolling Stone Magazine is more or less the crowning glory for a pop culture icon to really know they've 'made it'. Michael, Madonna, Britney and...yes, even Snookie have all graced the iconic front cover in their prime. Rolling Stone may, in fact, just be one of the most prominent magazines of all time, covering everything from music, politics and pop culture for over 40 years.

RS, as you've probably seen on radio/online/blogs, is currently holding a acover contest with Atlantic Records. 16 bands are competing for the cover spot in a March-madness tournament style competition based on public online voting. The two finalists will preform at the Bonnaroo music festival in June and the winning band will be signed by Atlantic and go on national tour . Oh, and they'll also be featured on Jimmy Fallon's late night show.

So, what does this all mean to you? Local Utah band, FICTIONIST, selected as one of the 16 competing bands. The five-man band from Provo has been making waves with their single 'Blue-eyed' and recently won an Independent Music Award for Best Pop/Rock song for their single "Invisible Hand."

FICTIONIST is already in Round 2 of the Rolling Stone Cover Competition, but they need your votes to keep going. Head on over here to give them some love and boost them to cover fame!

Oh, and if you were wondering, FICTIONISTS will be preforming April 8th at Riverwoods with Sugar Ray, so you can certainly go catch them live.
