Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, and often disabling, disease of the central nervous system, and it occurs most often in people between 20 and 50 years old. An ever-increasing number of children are also being diagnosed with the disease. 400,000 Americans live with MS, and every hour someone in the world is diagnosed with it. Utah, in particular, has one of the highest rates of MS in the country (approximately 1 in 300 people).
