1. Forever Pink Prom

We're sending our photographer Elliott Fraughton (the guy who took all of our beautiful Dining Award people pix) to the Elyse Pantke White Forever Pink Prom on the evening of Feb. 26.

It's dancing, cocktails and light hors d'oeuvres at $60 per person, all going to the Huntsman Cancer Institute for breast cancer research. Oh, and wear something PINK! The hot pink atmosphere/dance floor will make it a night to remember.

Elyse White was diagnosed with breast cancer on Nov. 14, 2003 at age 29, and after the diagnosis charity work/fundraising soon became a big part of her life. She passed away at 34 years old. The foundation was created in her memory. Click here for more info.

2. Night for African Sight

The organizers of the Night for African Sight at Snowbird Resort are supplying us with photos from the dinner/auction at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 26.

The event is $100 per person, all going toward restoreing eye sight in African countries where there's only one ophthalmologist for every one million people. The evening's presented by the Moran Eye Center in association with the Himalyan Cataract Project.

Dr. Geoffrey Tabin, Director of the Moran's International Division and co-founder of the Himalayan Cateract Project will be on hand, along with fellow mountaineers Neal Beidleman and timmy O'Neill.
