Clara's Christmas

For many, Christmas can't come and go without seeing Ballet West's Nutcracker (50 W. 200 South, SLC, 801-323-6900).

Make an evening of it: Have dinner at Bambara before going to the theater. Chef Nathan Power plans a special pre-theater "Clara's Dream" menu-three courses for $33, $12 for children-and opens the restaurant at 5 p.m. so you won't miss the curtain call. For grow-ups who may have seen the ballet classic one too many times, start with the "Scroogedriver" Grey Goose, ginger liqueur, orange juice and lemonade in a cinnamon sugar-rimmed glass. 202 S.
