Zoolights

A new Twas the Night Before Christmas animated story and more than 200 other displays light up the Hogle Zoo during the holidays.

Since it's a Tuesday, the crowds will be smaller, and nobody will block your path when you're trying to get a photo of all those cute animals helping put the star on the tree. Or go this Thursday with a $3 discount from any Northern Utah Little Caeser's.

Sip hot chocolate and also check out the zoo’s nocturnal creatures, including the big cats.

Zoolight's countdown to New Year's is at 9 p.m. this year, so the kids will still get to bed at a decent time. Bring the whole family. Admission all holiday season is only $6 for adults and $4 for kids. Open Dec. 4 to 31. 2600 Sunnyside Ave., 801-582-1631.
