Latkes and Applesauce

Some restaurants will try to sell you "potato pancakes" this holiday season, but Kosher on the Go is the only local place for real Kosher latkes supervised by synagogue Chabad of Utah. Order 24 hours in advance, and don't forget applesauce for dipping. Liberty Heights Fresh makes it in-house with local seasonal apples. Kosher on the Go, 1575 S. 1100 East, SLC, 801-463-1786. Liberty Heights Fresh, 1290 S. 1100 East, SLC, 801-58-FRESH.

Holiday Music Variety

It's December. You now have a good excuse to reveal your inner corniness. Go ahead and indulge your secret love of the Christmas songs that make you feel like a kid again. Ellen Eccles gives you the option of listening to them in choral or country renditions. Join American Festival Chorus & Orchestra's melodic sound and/or the Bar J Wranglers and their ranch comedy and cowboy music. Either one will leave you in the appropriate ho-ho mood. 43 S. Main Street, Logan, 435-752-0026. To purchase tickets or for other details, visit Cache Valley Center for the Arts.
