Christmas Carols

We decided to do things a little differently today because we thought you might want to weigh your options for upcoming Christmas Carol productions. From the Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley to the Randall L. Jones Theatre in Cedar City, we'll keep you from saying Bah-Humbug!

In 1843, Charles Dickens' most popular book flew off the shelves as fast as New Moon, but it remains relevant. So of course, about 170 years later, it's a Christmas tradition for playhouses all over Utah to show A Christmas Carol. Renditions of the story about Scrooge, a crabby old man whose greed outweighs his Christmas spirit, are showing at these theaters throughout this holiday season. Grab your little brother, Tiny Tim, beat the crowds and head out to an early showing.

You can go to A Christmas Carol showing at:

1. West Valley City Hale Centre Theatre until Dec. 23 (333 S. Decker Lake Dr., West Valley City).

2. Orem Hale Center Theater beginning Dec. 1 and continuing until the 23rd (225 W. 400 North, Orem).

3. Lights Up! Theatre Troupe's Ebenezer event at the Ogden Union Station, showing until Dec. 3 (2501 Wall Ave., Ogden).

4. Terrace Plaza Playhouse and catch Beverly Olsen's Scrooge: A Christmas Carol until Dec. 23rd (99 E. 4700 South, Ogden).

5. Randall L. Jones Theatre and delight in the Children's Theatre production Dec. 15 to 17 (351 E. Center St., Cedar City, 800-752-9845).
