TGIF! If your anything like us you've been counting the hours, minutes and seconds down until the weekend since.....8.a.m. on Monday. Of course, now that the weekend is upon us, you have nothing to do, right? Instead of sitting at home with the cat and re-runs of 'The Nanny' on TBS (okay, maybe that one's just me...) get out and experience the arts that SLC has to offer. Here's just a few options to keep you from you with bonding with Fran and Kitty.

Imagine That- Repertory Dance Theater

What happens when art meets scienctific principles? At 'Imagine That' you'll be 'enrolled' in an elementary level class on atoms, molecules, gravity and momentum. The catch? All these concepts will be demystified through dance and multi-media. Students young and old are welcome, just remember, there will be a test.

Nov.19-20, Jeanne Wagner Theatre, 7:30 pm

Salt Lake Gallery Stroll

Bundle up and stroll the streets of SLC tonight at the November Gallery Stroll. Many of the galleries are featuring holiday inspired work and a few holiday sales; give the gift of art! The Hotel night club will be hosting the Gallery Stroll after party beginning at 9 pm, featuring live music and will showcase new collections from gallery stroll artists. Click here for a list of participating galleries and artists.

Broadway Across America- The Color Purple

The Pulitzer Prize winning novel and Spielberg film comes to life at the Capitol Theatre in musical form. The powerful show about love, family and self-discovery is set to a soundtruck full of jazz, gospel, ragtime and blues. The show runs til Nov. 21 and tickets can be purchased here.
