Last week, the Main Library showed Marmaduke for their Friday afternoon kids movie series, and this week it's a bit of nostalgia from the 90s-A Goofy Movie. The Boy Scouts will be at the South Towne Mall to celebrate 100 years, and Lagoon's Frightmares opens this weekend, too. So, start your weekend with Max's trip to see the PowerLine Concert, and end it with zombies...

The Library shows movies every Friday in their story room for kids from 3 to 5 p.m., perfect for some quick after-school entertainment. This week, A Goofy Movie has been chosen for the feature. Goofy goes on a cross-country fishing trip with his son Max, who tells the girl of his dreams, Roxanne, he's actually going to appear on TV at the PowerLine concert in LA.

The Boy Scouts of Utah celebrate 100 years of scouting with Adventure Base 100 on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. What that means for your kids is a ropes course, IMAX-like video in the Go! Dome, music, demos, contests, trivia and a traveling museum.

Lagoon opens again this weekend and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 22-30, but it's not the same park you enjoyed over the summer.
