Some people are just so talented-like Steve Martin, for example, who can pen a sweet novella, make a stone face laugh and play the banjo like mad. And then there's Park City's Bryon Friedman, a former U.S. Ski Team downhill skier (downhill, did you read that? The crazy, fast stuff) and super talented musician. Friedman sounds (and looks) like Jack Johnson, but he's got more punch and energy to his music. His voice is rich and round and his melodies bright, folky acoustic that either mellow you out or make you tap your feet. Friedman's latest album, Matchstick Memories gets regular play on Sirius XM's Coffee House channel and last year, he was selected as one of the top 5 singer/songwriter discoveries of the year.

If you've never heard Friedman or heard of him, for that matter, head to Deer Valley's Snow Park Amphitheater for tomorrow's free Mountain Town Music Series concert at 6 PM. Like everyone else in Park City, you'll likely love him, too.
