About Us

Salt Lake magazine in 2010 celebrated its 20th year covering Utah news, fashion, people and food. The state's only bi-monthly glossy publication, Salt Lake magazine both print and online has garnered numerous industry awards for editorial, design and sales.

The Salt Lake magazine team:

Executive Editor

Executive Editor Mary Brown Malouf has been executive editor of D magazine in Dallas, Texas, executive editor at wine.com in Napa, California; and a restaurant critic for The Salt Lake Tribune.

Editor

Jeremy Pugh joined the Salt Lake magazine staff as an associate in 2006 and became its editor in 2007. During his time at the magazine, Pugh has written about everything from crime to medical miracles; cultural issues to history. His regular department, Utah Field Guide, explains the wonderful quirks that abound in the Beehive State and he really hopes you dig it. Before joining the magazine, he worked in newsrooms around Utah, including a four-year stint as the arts editor for The Herald Journal in Logan. His work has also appeared in Sunset magazine.

Lifestyles Editor

Brad Mee came to Utah Style & Design magazine in 2002 as editor. He oversaw the transformation of the biannual periodical to an award-winning, quarterly shelter publication. He develops the magazine’s content, scouts and selects featured homes and gardens, writes features with topics ranging from décor and entertaining to home articles and artisan profiles. Mee directs the content of the magazine’s Web site, utahstyleanddesign.com. He is also the home editor for Salt Lake magazine. Prior to his position at Utah Style & Design, Mee developed and wrote the published Design Is in the Detail book series.

Senior Editor

Lara Rosenbaum joined Salt Lake magazine in April of 2010, and edits and writes the Arts and Entertainment section along with various features throughout the magazine. The guitar-strumming, toy-poodle- and horse-loving Rhode Island native is no stranger to glossies. Rosenbaum was formerly a senior editor at Women’s Health and prior to that, a staffer at Organic Style and Allure magazines, all in New York City. A former member of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team and the reining National Acro-Ski Champion, Rosenbaum returned to Utah for the snow, but somehow has been enjoying the A&E scene much more, instead.

Web

Online Producer

Andrew Pridgen came to Salt Lake magazine in 2009. A former newspaper journalist and Web designer, Pridgen has worked primarily on the West Coast as a reporter for the Contra Costa Times, editor of the Point Reyes Light and co-founder of Ticker Media LLC in Truckee, Calif.

Web Editor

Jaime Winston started as an editorial intern at Salt Lake magazine and climbed the ranks to his current position as Web editor. He is the primary editor for the magazine's People section, the Hot Property real estate blog and many other sections on and offline. Born and raised in West Valley City, his work has also appeared in Magna Times, The Diversity Times and The Daily Utah Chronicle.

Associate Web Editor
Jenni Stokes began as a Web intern at Salt Lake magazine and recently joined the team as Social Media Liaison. In addition to writing and tweeting, Jenni has a passion for baking and spends much of her free time in the kitchen creating sweet treats. She is a recent graduate of Westminster College with a Communication degree and lives in Sugarhouse with her cat, Sadie.

Director of Marketing

Lenni Stratton joined the Salt Lake magazine team as an intern for Utah Bride & Groom in the summer of 2006, while working on her communication degree at Westminster College. She joined the staff full-time in early 2007 and has worked in various areas of the company since then. When she isn't hard at work with the sales and marketing teams, she (over)indulges in her passion for all things weddings, and fancies herself an amateur portrait photographer.
